AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS (ANC) DEPUTY SECRETARY-GENERAL COMRADE NOMVULA MOKONYANE LEADS A HIGH-LEVEL MEETING WITH COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIETNAM

The African National Congress (ANC) will host a high-level meeting with the delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on Monday, 30 September 2024.
The meeting will be led by the ANC Deputy Secretary-General Comrade Nomvula Mokonyane and CPV’s Politburo member H.E. Mr. Phan Dinh Trac. The ANC and CPV have shared a long history of solidarity, with both parties emerging from struggles against colonialism and imperialism.
The focus of the engagement will be on strengthening economic, social, and political cooperation between the two parties, as this is key to reinforcing the deep historical ties between the two organisations and exploring new areas of collaboration for mutual benefit.
This meeting offers an opportunity to advance this legacy, prioritizing strategic cooperation that aligns with South Africa’s broader foreign policy objectives while contributing to global efforts for equity and sustainability.
