The African National Congress (ANC) will, from tomorrow, Friday, the 22nd of January 2021 to Sunday, the 24th of January 2021, hold a virtual National Executive Committee (NEC) Lekgotla.
The NEC Virtual Lekgotla will bring together Alliance partners, and ANC deployees in national, provincial and local sphere of government as well as strategic sectors in society, including business, civil society, and traditional leaders.
The Virtual Lekgotla is taking place shortly after the delivery of the January 8 Statement and will focus on the following four key priorities identified for the year ahead:
⁃ Defeating the Covid 19 pandemic
⁃ Economic recovery and reconstruction
⁃ Local government and service delivery
⁃ The African Agenda and a better world
The virtual Lekgotla will be held as follows:

Members of the media will accordingly be advised on the details of the post-NEC Lekgotla media briefing.
NEC MEETING
The NEC will convene its first ordinary sitting for 2021 from the 13nth to the 14nth of February 2021. Prior to the NEC meeting, National Officials of the ANC will meet to finalise guidelines on the implementation of the “step aside” rule for consideration by the NEC.
