The African National Congress (ANC) is humbled by the trust and confidence shown by the people in the recent and final round of by-elections. Winning Ward 7 in the Northern Cape from the DA means the ANC now has full control of the Hantam Municipality. This marks the third municipality the ANC has regained after the 2021 Local Government Elections setback. We are also pleased with the outcome in Ward 2 in Msunduzi (KwaZulu-Natal), where we successfully won a ward from the IFP.
These victories reflect the resilience, hard work, and dedication of the ANC to serve the people. They affirm that the ANC remains the movement capable of advancing the daily needs of South Africans and delivering the change they seek. The ANC’s successes at the polls demonstrate that the people trust us to continue working tirelessly for a better and more prosperous future.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all voters who placed their confidence in the ANC. This trust is not taken for granted, and we remain committed to delivering on the promises made during the campaign. We would also like to thank our dedicated volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure our message reached the people. Their commitment and hard work have been crucial to our success.
The ANC calls on all public representatives, newly elected and existing, to continue serving the nation with integrity and dedication. We must remain focused on building a better South Africa and responding to the needs of the people with the urgency they deserve.
