ANC EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO NATIONAL SPOKESPERSON ON THE PASSING OF HER MOTHER, UMAMA THELMA BUYISIWE BHENGU

The African National Congress (ANC) expresses its heartfelt condolences to our National Spokesperson, Comrade Mahlengi Bhengu, and her family on the passing of her beloved mother, uMama Thelma Buyisiwe Bhengu, following an illness.

uMama Bhengu was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom, a guiding light whose values shaped and inspired generations. Her passing leaves a deep void not only in her family but in all who were touched by her grace, humility, and unwavering faith in humanity.

As the movement, we share in the Bhengu family’s pain and offer our prayers and support during this difficult time.

We recognise that behind every leader who serves the people with dedication stands a nurturing hand that instilled in them compassion, discipline, and resilience, qualities that defined uMama Bhengu.

The ANC calls upon all comrades, friends, and supporters to keep the Bhengu family in their thoughts and prayers as they prepare to lay their beloved matriarch to rest.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
