The African National Congress (ANC) is convening a political education workshop that will dopt a political education campaign to train all ANC members and leaders, young and old, as part of the Renewal Project adopted by the 55th National Conference.

The political education workshop is in line with the ANC resolution to renew the movement against the understanding that the ANC will succeed to realise its strategic objectives only if it builds the ideological, intellectual, and organizational capacity of its memembers.

The workshop will be attended by the both the ANC Veterans as well as the leaders of the Leagues, the Alliance, Progressive Youth Alliance and the Provincial leaders. Speakers at the workshop will include Comrade Kgalema Motlanthe, Comrade Mac Maharaj, Comrade Febe Potgieter and Comrade David Makhura.

The opening session at 09h00 on 02 December 2023 will be addressed by Comrade Kgalema Motlanthe whilst the closing address will be delivered by ANC Chairperson, Comrade Gwede Mantashe on 04 December 2023 at 13h00. Both sessions will be open to the media. Veterans in attendance will also be available to conduct media interviews.
