ANC SECRETARY GENERAL TO ANNOUNCE PEOPLE’S MARCH IN DEFENCE OF SOUTH AFRICA’S SOVEREIGNTY

Members of the media are invited to attend an official announcement of the People’s March, scheduled to take place on 21 March 2026. The announcement will outline the purpose, programme, and participation of various organisations in this mass mobilisation.
The announcement will be led by the Secretary General of the African National Congress, Comrade Fikile Mbalula, who will be joined by representatives from various civil society movements who have partnered in organising the march.
The People’s March forms part of a broad democratic mobilisation aimed at affirming the sovereignty of South Africa and the collective commitment of progressive forces to defend the country’s democratic gains.
