ANC SECRETARY-GENERAL TO BRIEF THE MEDIA ON SEVERAL ISSUES IN THE ENVIRONMENT

The African National Congress (ANC) wishes to advise members of the media that the Secretary General of the ANC, Cde Fikile Mbalula, will address a media conference on a range of national and international matters. The media conference will provide an opportunity for the Secretary General to communicate the ANC’s perspectives on current developments affecting the country, the continent and the international community, as well as the organisation’s programme of action towards the upcoming local government elections.

The address will cover, among others, the following matters:

  • The cleaning of the State through the work of commissions of inquiry and the enforcement of the law;
  • Constitutional processes relating to the Office of the President;
  • Migration, including the ANC’s Continental Compact submitted to the nation for public comment;
  • International developments and South Africa’s relations with the global community;
  • The ANC’s preparations for the local government elections scheduled for 4 November 2026.
