ANC SENDS MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE ON THE PASSING OF DR ABDUL KADER MOOLA

The African National Congress (ANC) has learned with deep sadness of the passing of Comrade Abdul Kader Moola, a committed patriot, freedom fighter and loyal cadre of our movement. We convey our heartfelt condolences to his children, the Moola family, comrades, friends and all those who were touched by his life and service.

Comrade Moola dedicated his life to the struggle against apartheid, racism and injustice. Forced into exile by the apartheid regime, he continued to serve the liberation movement by mobilising international solidarity for the ANC, strengthening global opposition to apartheid, and contributing to the international campaign for the isolation of the apartheid system.

His contribution to the education and development of South African children in exile through SOMAFCO in Tanzania reflected his deep commitment to building a future South Africa founded on equality, dignity and freedom. His humility, intellectual contribution and unwavering commitment embodied the values of our movement and the sacrifices made by generations of freedom fighters.

The ANC honours the life and legacy of Comrade Abdul Kader Moola, whose contribution to the liberation struggle helped pave the way for the democratic South Africa we have today. His dedication to justice, human dignity and the freedom of all oppressed people will continue to inspire generations.

Hamba kahle, Comrade Abdul Kader Moola. Your contribution to the struggle for freedom will never be forgotten.

END//

ISSUED BY THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS.
