ANC WELCOMES THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO THE OR TAMBO SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP

The African National Congress (ANC) warmly welcomes the appointment of a new Board of Directors to the OR Tambo School of Leadership, effective from 2 June 2025 to 31 May 2028. We extend our sincere congratulations to the distinguished individuals entrusted with this important responsibility and express our appreciation for their service to the movement and the country.

We particularly note and welcome the re-appointment of Comrade Kgalema Motlanthe, whose continued leadership brings a wealth of experience, integrity, and strategic insight. His commitment to political education, democratic values, and cadre development remains a source of inspiration for the renewal and strengthening of our movement. This newly constituted Board reflects a wide range of expertise drawn from academia, diplomacy, public service, trade unions, business, and the legislative and executive arms of the state. The ANC is confident that the school will continue to flourish under this capable leadership collective, in line with its mission to serve as a Centre of Excellence for political and intellectual development. This appointment marks a vital step in advancing the strategic goal of developing a new generation of conscious, competent, and ethical cadres for progressive change.
