18 August 2010
ANC President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 19 August 2010, kick-start the Imvuselelo organizational renewal and recruitment campaign roadshow to the Western Cape.
The ANC is strengthening its Imvuselelo campaign programme in preparation for its centenary in 2012, by reaching the target of one million members.
The President’s Western Cape programme, which will take him to the Cape Town Metro, Boland and Overberg from 19 to 22 August, will take the following form:
- Recruitment and Mobilisation, face to face with individuals.
- Cadres forum – meetings with chairpersons and secretaries of the branches and Regional Executive Committee
- Mass meetings.
Last week the President spent a few days in the Eastern Cape and gained valuable insight regarding the situation regarding the strength of the organization, as well as successes and challenges related to service delivery.
President Zuma will this week tell the people of the Western Cape that the ANC is their home and their future. The ANC has a rich history of mass mobilization and support in the Western Cape.
