ANC STATEMENT ON THE SECRETARY GENERAL OFFICE'S VISIT TO KWAZULU NATAL PROVINCE

ANC Secretary General, Comrade Fikile Mbalula, together with top officials and National Executive Committee deployees will visit the KwaZulu Natal Province from Tuesday 15th to Wednesday the 16th August 2023. The visit is a sequel to several interactive processes with the leadership and structures of the ANC in the province following successful meetings of the National Working Committee (NWC) where all officials led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, Deputy President Paul Mashatile and National Chairperson Gwede Mantashe visited regions in the province.

The Secretary General’s visit will include a visit to Isilo Samabandla. On this occasion, the ANC leadership will embark on Ukuyokotha Isilo, an audience with His Majesty, Zulu King MisuZulu ka Zwelithini. The visit to Isilo takes place at Kwakhangela, Nongoma. The meeting will take place at 11h00.

Following the visit to the king, the Secretary General and his delegation will meet with the leadership of the ANC, structures, progressive alliance and public deployees in the provincial government. The ANC will communicate further details on these engagements.

The visit coincides with the ANC’s review of its 2019 Election Manifesto that will include consulting and interacting with members of society to assess the road travelled since 2019.
