ANC TO SUPPORT FAMILIES OF THE COSAS THREE AT GAUTENG SOUTH HIGH COURT

22 August 2021

The African National Congress (ANC), Head of Organising and Mass Mobilisation Comrade Nomvula Mokonyane, together with members of the ANC in Gauteng, the ANC Women’s League and the Congress of South African Students (COSAS) will be at the Gauteng South High Court tomorrow morning to support the families of the COSAS Three plus One.
The Cosas Three were brutally assassinated by the apartheid death squad in 1982.

A former Umkhonto we Sizwe member who allegedly defected to the enemy camp and became an askari, Tlhomedi Ephraim Mfalapitsa, is appearing in the Gauteng South High Court for the bombing of three former COSAS members, Eustice “Bimbo” Madikela, Ntshingo Mataboge and Fanyana Nhlapho, in 1982. Zandisile Musi survived this tragic incident, yet was prosecuted and then sent to Robben Island. Comrade Zandisile Musi recently succumbed to Covid 19 and May his soul Rest In Peace and that in their name and rights justice must be done.

Mfalapitsa allegedly conspired with his partners in crime at the notorious Vlakplaas Security Branch to kill four students using explosives. This act of callous brutality touched the conscience of our nation and moved all freedom-loving South Africans to intensify the struggle against apartheid.
